Good and pretty quick, but I inverse several things when I made it. I added a packet of taco seasoning while sauting the beefiness. Equally I cooked the beef, I make up a box of Meican rice. I like the flavor of meat, rice and cheese all mixed together. I like using a can of enchilada sauce instead of the pulverisation stuff.

A very succulent repast! The all-time affair about this recipe is that it is wonderfully elementary and easy. It being such a basic recipe means that you can make it equally directed or add on to the ingredients to become even more satisfying results. My changes were mostly in the meat, which I doctored upward like and then: besides the onion, I added a generous amount of garlic (I'm a garlic freak), a can of mild greenish republic of chile peppers, and half a pack of basic taco seasoning. Yum Yum. Later that fleck it is as easy equally pie. Y'all merely roll everything upward and bake and you've got dinner! This is too a wonderful meal to consume while on a budget. The terminal two times I've made this for my family, I served it with cornbread, Spanish rice, and extra enchilada sauce.

Made exactly as written and everyone (including picky little ones) enjoyed and had seconds. Thanks for this quick and easy recipe! And to those criticizing flour tortillas vs corn tortillas...not all of us are experts on Mexican foods and actually don't care. We just like a great tasting dish and this was delicious.

Hmmm....I was surprised to see and so many recipes called "Enchilidas" fabricated with FLOUR tortillas. True enchiladas are made with CORN tortillas non flour; even so I do make this all the time using flour tortillas; just I dont telephone call them "Enchiladas" I call them "Enchi-ritos" cus they contain a combination of enchilada/burrito ingredients.
03/24/2003
a quick easy Mexican fiesta. I used the canned El Paso enchilada sauce, placed 1/two in pan and ane/2 over the enchilada'south and quite a fleck more shredded mexican cheeses. Slap-up recipe. Thanks.
02/27/2007
This recipe was tasty and very easy. This is a swell meal to fix on a busy night. Add a side of refried beans and mexican rice and your good to go.
12/11/2006
For such a quick and like shooting fish in a barrel recipe, these were quite good! I added a tin can of refried beans to the beef mixture but otherwise followed the recipe exactly. Great for a quick weeknight meal! Thanks!
06/09/2003
Excellent recipe! I usually add a trivial cumin and red pepper flakes to the meat and onion mixure before rolling the tortillas to add a piddling more estrus. These are great with either scarlet or green enchilada sauce! Thanks!
12/27/2006
This is so easy to make and tastes good. I used basis turkey - cooked information technology with onion, then simmered it in taco seasoning with water.I used a can of enchilada sauce and actress cheese. I had mine with sour cream and my husband had his with sour foam and taco sauce.
02/04/2011
If you add a bundle of taco seasoning instead of dry enchilada sauce mix and then drench them in a can of cherry enchilada sauce, these are absolutely Succulent.
08/11/2006
Every bit recommended by others, I used taco seasoning in the meat and added Rotel tomatoes with green chillis along with the chopped onion. I used corn rather than flour tortillas. I fried each tortilla in shortening for about 3-5 seconds each to make them easier to curl, then dipped them in cerise enchilada sauce (canned) earlier filling them with the meat mix and cheese. I substituted prepackaged Mexican cheese for the cheddar as well. The dish turned out very well. I will definately make this again presently.

This is the first time I have fabricated enchiladas. I used venison instead of ground beef and one small tin can of enchilada sauce every bit mentioned in previous reviews and they turned out great! I also used the Mexican blend of cheese that Kraft makes instead of just cheddar. Side by side fourth dimension, I might try making the sauce from scratch.
01/10/2012
I similar this recipe. I don't mind that its made with Flour Tortillas instead of corn. I live in Texas and take tons of Hispanic friends. They eat BOTH. The only thing I did unlike with this recipe is added cumin and some onion powder when sauteing the beefiness. I also use black beans inside with the meat for some fiber and vitamins. Otherwise, wonderful recipe! Thanks!
10/25/2006
they weren't whatsoever expert....... don't don't waste material your fourth dimension.
eleven/fifteen/2011
very delicious and piece of cake. I used a can of enchilada sauce, but followed everything else. I loved the unproblematic, withal wonderful flavor these had. I used my own homemade tortillas.
08/17/2005
Don't believe a word of anyone else about this recipe not having whatever flavor! Quite the opposite, at that place is a lot of season that should please anybody in a big family. The simply modify I made was to add together a just a fleck of taco sauce (Step brand) to the meat to give it a heave. I am also able to buy canned enchilada sauce, making it easier likewise. I live in Texas, where Mexican food reigns, and in authentic enchildas you can actually taste the beef and cheese, as I think you tin can with this recipe. Taco seasoning, in my opinion, would ruin this recipe. If you need extra spice, try to buy "hot" enchilada sauce, or make the Red Sauce offered here (which is wonderful). My husband came back for seconds, and all three sons gave it an "A" rating, very rare indeed in my house! Thanks for sharing this piece of cake, cheap, yummy recipe! Going into my permanent rotation! :)
08/19/2006
My husband and I loved this recipe! The but changes - used homemade reddish enchilada sauce (Sara'due south from this site), added taco seasoning package to the meat for flavor and sprinkled light-green onions on top with the blackness olives. This recipe as is only filled vi big tortillas for me and so y'all might desire to use more ground beef for a larger oversupply.
01/sixteen/2007
For a quick meal these are really good and very easy to add your ain lilliputian touches. I come from California and in answer to a few of the detractors I will say that I learned to love enchiladas fabricated with flour tortillas from a Mexican lady! I now prefer them made with flour rather than corn tortillas. You also should non review a recipe until you have really made information technology and eaten information technology.
11/01/2003
This is a actually fast way to make Enchiladas. I used two cans of enchilada sauce. I too dipped my tortillas in sauce before rolling. I little more messy, merely it keeps them from drying out and so bad and makes easier to work with. I have made with both chicken and ground beef and both work very well. It is a slap-up fast meal.
02/17/2018
Disclosure: I am besides a full blown Mexican. But likewise disclosure: I'm open minded and not condescending. Ok sometimes I am. Anyhow, yeah authentic enchiladas are fabricated with corn tortillas but i. Why are you on here if you already know how yous want your enchiladas 2. If you lot know how to make accurate enchiladas yous'll know that information technology's a little more than time consuming and you have more steps to take 3. This is allrecipes (not your grandmas cookbook from Mexico). Just considering it'south not the "real" thing doesn't mean it's bad. I did like them btw. Thanks OP for sharing and sorry some people are and so rude. As a Mexican, you lot other Hispanics should besides know that office of the culture of our cooking is sharing recipes and adapting them to adjust your families tastes.
10/03/2002
We added lots of fajita seasoning to the beefiness to requite information technology more flavor. I added the cheese to the beef and mixed it together before putting it in the tortillas rather so sprinkling cheese on top of the beefiness. I only had corn tortillas and they were a niggling stiff and broke as I rolled them so I dipped both sides of each one in some of the enchilada sauce to soften them up earlier I put the meat in. That worked really well. I put a lot of the filling in each one considering we like a lot of meat in them and ended up making 8 half dozen" tortillas. I would recommend eating these with sour cream on the side.
03/18/2006
SO Practiced!!! I really loved these merely did exercise a few things differently. I added Taco Seasoning I (from this site. I NEVER buy the bundle stuff anymore, this stuff is fab!) to the ground beef...likewise as half a can of black beans (drained, rinsed and chopped up a scrap). Then I used a homemade enchilada sauce (Enchilada Sauce, from this site). The result was a new, SPICY family favorite...who cares about authenticity when it tastes crawly!!
09/nineteen/2004
These were pretty skilful (built-in & raised in Arizona, a few miles from the Mexican edge, nevertheless, I have had better!!!) & my boyfriend thought they were GREAT!...I used 96% lean ground beef, fat complimentary cheddar, and corn instead of flour tortillas. I doubled the sauce & chopped some green onions to put on top. Usually when people brand corn tortilla enchiladas they will dip the torts in heated vegetable oil for a minute or and so until they are soft and flexible, but to cut out that fatty as well, I dipped them in heated enchilada sauce. Yummy! The meat was a bit bland fifty-fifty after I mixed some enchilada sauce in w/them. Adjacent time I will defintiley add together some spices similar garlic, chili pulverization, & cumin.
09/11/2008
I used the Cherry Enchildada Sauce recipe from this site and ditched the olives since I hate them. Making the sauce was more than hassle, simply using canned (which I probably will next time) makes these super duper easy. I thought they were very practiced and only have two comments on the basic recipe. Yes, the beef is bland. And I also don't recall information technology's enough to fill up 10 (x") tortillas. I got 6 out of it though I practise similar mine stuffed good. But I can't see more than than 7-8. The bland beef did not brand the entire recipe banal -- many forkfuls which included the sauce and cheese however tasted fine to me. It was merely the forkfuls which were mostly just beef that ended up bland crusade that'southward all I could taste. I think the simpliest solution (which I'll try next fourth dimension) is just putting some of the sauce into the beef, without the need to add a million other things. I liked them fine with flour tortillas and was actually surprised over the number of comments about information technology. I'm curious how many know what then-called "accurate" Mexican is. Most of what we brand (at least in the U.S.) isn't authentic anyhow, and then why selection on this recipe in particular?
08/29/2007
While this recipe is cracking, it is not practiced either. Enchiladas are time consuming, so it is best to just buy some frozen ones because these taste simply like those. Too, enchiladas are really supposed to exist made with corn tortillas, using flour tortillas technically makes them enchurittos.
10/02/2007
meat was and then banal!! i had to add together cilantro, table salt, pepper, cumin and garlic to accomplish a real mexican flavour! recipe as is is certainly non worth all the stars others have given it. may brand again--with my spicey additions!
05/25/2004
This recipe was pretty practiced. My boyfriend loved it. I did add a small-scale can of dark-green chilis to the meat mixture and rolled five good sized enchiladas. I also used the canned enchilada sauce. Poured sauce to embrace lesser of pan and put a footling in the meat mixture too. I used alot more cheese as well, I remember. I put alot of cheese inside each tortilla. After I rolled them all up, I covered them with remaining sauce, remaining cheese and alot of sliced black olives. Served with Rice-A-Roni Mexican rice. Added sliced avocado and sour cream on the side to cool downward the oestrus. Very easy and delicious meal. Thanks!
05/02/2013
I dearest this recipe, its no fuss, simple and leaves room to stretch your culinary imagination..equally for the annotate on making Enchiladas with flour tortillas as opposed to corn tortillas..they aren't bachelor to purchase at many places and a lot of folks just don't similar the sense of taste!! Yous gotta take an open mind when it comes to cooking, lol..a lot of the recipes that been given to me by my german grandmother have been modified, simply considering of the availability of some of the ingredients..that made some of them even better, than the fashion she made them.
01/17/2007
This was delicious! I'm non much of a cook, but when I read this recipe it looked easy enough then I gave it a try. Boy, was I glad I did! I used a combination of dry taco seasoning and canned enchilada sauce and left out the olives. definitely going to be making this again! a quick, cheap, very tasty meal.
09/05/2006
Fabulous & like shooting fish in a barrel!!! I used dry taco seasoning in the meat (you shouldn't use the whole bundle otherwise information technology's a little besides salty), likewise added about 1/2 cup sour foam to the meat mixture for a creamier texture, & taco sauce on the tiptop & bottom of the enchilada's. Adjacent fourth dimension I'll try enchilada sauce to see which I prefer. Everyone loved them. Will definitely brand again. Cheers for the recipe.
07/07/2003
We really enjoyed these. My married man was even surprised at how skillful they were. I did add taco saesoning to the meat for extra flavor.
11/16/2010
Fairly quick and easy. After cooking upwardly the beef, I decided that it was a petty bland, so I added about 1/2 a chopped greenish pepper, cumin, chili powder and a few daps of hot sauce. I used ii small bottles of El Paso enchilada sauce instead of the dry out mix. And I added about a cup of rice to the beef mixture to "beefiness" them upward.
01/24/2008
I fabricated this a couple years agone and did not intendance for information technology at all. It was very banal! I attempted it again recently, & added some modifications and information technology turned out really good. I would give it 2 stars the fashion it is written, but 4-five stars with the modifications. I sauteed onion, garlic, & chopped jalepenos in with the ground beef, and sprinkled the mixture with some chili pulverisation & cumin. I also made fresh enchilada sauce from another recipe on this site (x minute enchilada sauce). I topped information technology with freshly shredded monteray jack cheese & sliced jalepenos, and served it with mexican rice. Very good!
10/20/2010
Amazing!
xi/10/2002
This is a not bad recipe if yous are looking for something quick and filling. Like shooting fish in a barrel to brand and fills your abode with a nifty mexican aroma. My hubby added some cumin and chili powder for an extra "Kicking". We enjoyed this recipe and will definately use it again! Cheers Becky!
03/31/2015
The ground beef has no seasoning except onion.
03/xix/2006
This was a huge hit!! I did make a few changes, thanks to some of the other reviewers. I added taco seasoning to the meat and fabricated 2 packets of enchilada sauce (1 would definetly not take been enough). The only changes I remember I might make next time are more black olives (nosotros love black olives), either on top or in the meat mixture. This is an accented keeper!
10/07/2007
Great base recipe! I add almost one TB of taco seasoning to the mix. Plain chili powder and table salt taste ok too. I also add a wee bit of garlic (nosotros like garlic!). We use a large tin of light-green enchilada sauce (preference). Using pepper jack or monterey jack cheese along with the cheddar kicks up the flavour, but tastes skilful with only cheddar. My husband never liked enchiladas before this recipe. He is non a large fan of corn tortillas made all soggy past sauce, plus he dislikes ruby-red enchilada sauce. This recipe is so quick and piece of cake and I have even put it into a glass 9x11 pan and microwaved information technology and it was just as good (quicker as well). Chop some green onions and add to the top when it's done baking. Looks dainty and adds a niggling something to season.
09/08/2004
I made lots of changes to this recipe. I used ground turkey and added a green pepper to the meat and onion. I also added chili pulverisation, garlic pulverisation, cumin, and an 8 oz. tin can of lycopersicon esculentum sauce to meat mixture. I used jarred enchilada sauce instead of the mix. With my alterations I give this three stars. If I hadn't altered it, I don't recollect information technology would have been more than a 2.
07/27/2002
This was slap-up my kids are very picky and they loved it!!
09/27/2010
Quick and easy dinner. Next time I call up I would season the beefiness, but other than that, terrific!
02/15/2010
And so proficient and easy!! My kids love this as does my firewoman husband and his buddies. And then it'due south kid and firefighter approved!! I like to add a can of Rotel to the meat and I use already made enchilada sauce in a can. And I could care less if enchiladas are supposed to be made with corn tortillas- these are GOOD. putting them in the oven makes them all soft and gooey. QUICK, EASY AND DELICIOUS Repast!!
05/29/2001
I institute this recipe very easy and tasty. Thanks for sharing!
04/05/2006
Very easy to make hubby and I volition brand once again. I did add one can of rinsed black beans and two cans of chopped chili's to spice it upwardly. I besides used Step Medium Enchilada Sauce instead of the mix.
05/xiv/2011
4.5 stars Added i/ii packet of taco seasoning, one clove of garlic minced, i can of green chilies, more cheese. Was very nice.
06/15/2008
i thought it was yummy, even though i completly altered the recipe. this is what i did, and it was practiced. #i- i seasoned the beef with some cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, and just a little chili powder. to give it that meixcany taste. #2- i just bought enchilada mild sauce in the tin, put some of that down in the goulash dish. took flour tortillas, filled them with beef and cheese, wrapped em upwardly enchilada style, poured more sauce and put cheddar cheese all over it... #3- baked it, and when it came out, put some sour cream, cilantro, and a few chopped jalapenos on height! very good! and cheap it was similar vii dollars to make it!
05/04/2012
Good enchiladas just they definitely need to exist doctored up! I added a can of refried beans, taco seasoning and minced garlic to the meat mixture.
05/24/2011
Equally written it is really more than similar a 3 i/2 only because it is pretty bland. I changed a few things obviously. first at that place were no seasonings and then I added salt pepper and garlic powder. I used corn tortillas because I couldnt have flour. I mixed a carton of sour cream with a small can of green chilis and spooned it into the enchiladas with a scoop of the beefiness mixture. i also put a jar of picante sauce on top for added flavour. They were wonderful!
10/21/2003
I added a can of beans kidney or pinto, drained and rinsed and nigh 1/ii cup of sauce to browned meat before rolling them upwardly. The beans stretches out your meal and the sauce kept them from being and so dry.
08/20/2006
A KEEPER! I love this recipe! My fiance and I skip the black olives, though. We normally eat this dish with chopped lettuce and sour cream. I love it!
01/13/2012
Thanks for the ingredients and to anybody else who added a few more ingredients of their own! :)
03/31/2015
I personally do non like the texture of a soggy corn tortilla. I use flour some people are sensitive to corn products. who cares what yous utilise.
04/xiv/2010
This was a dandy showtime to a delicious dinner. I made some revisions to go far even meliorate. Equally someone else suggested, I added chili peppers and taco seasoning in the beefiness. I too used the canned sauce as someone recommended. Merely make sure that you get the large can. The smaller one isn't enough. In addition, I would also double the amount of cheese. I actually added pepper jack cheese on height of the cheddar and it was fantastic! I served it with Spanish rice and refried beans. Delish!
03/17/2003
very good! My husband and I loved them, but would add together some seasoning to the meat side by side time. ************************************************ Tried with chicken -- fantastic! Likewise added refried beans, and that was very good. I like a recipe you can work with!
12/18/2002
Fast and like shooting fish in a barrel, I used the green enchilada sause in a tin can (large) added light-green chilies to the meat with some chili pepper and then sprinkled habanero sauce in with the meat and cheese before rolling up. Definately a little spicier but very good.
01/08/2002
I used basis turkey and scallions in lieu of onion. I besides added a half of a can of refried beans to the turkey mixture forth with a can of Bean and Bacon soup and a half of a tin of enchilada sauce. Yum!
12/04/2003
Very proficient. I really ate this meal grinning the whole way. It was then delicious. I mixed some of the enchilada sauce into the ground beef and also added some taco beef mix into it. Subsequently cooking up the ground beef and onions, it was all downhill from there. Very uncomplicated and then succulent. This is probably the all-time meal I have ever made. I'm an 18 yr old guy, errr...withal living with my parents, only I retrieve this is 1 that I will make constantly later on I move out and become a single bachelor. Great repast to impress people! ii Thumbs up!
01/sixteen/2007
We thought this was practiced. Nosotros omit the olives, used canned enchilada sauce and extra footing beef. I may next time add taco seasoning (or make my own) to the meat to give it some actress oomph only overall, information technology was tasty. Very like shooting fish in a barrel too, perfect for a calendar week nighttime dinner.
02/15/2010
I beloved this recipe. With other enchilada recipes, I always cooked the corn tortillas in oil before putting the meat mixture in. In this recipe, the flour tortillas are soft pillows of deliciousness! I fabricated my ain enchilada sauce with the parcel (much better than canned). I besides added cumin, garlic table salt and chipotle seasoning to the ground beef.
05/eleven/2007
I am giving this recipe a 4 only because it doesnt call for whatever salt or seasoning in the meat. I put salt and pepper and taco seasoning. I used corn tortillas because that is the simply fashion I eat enchiladas. I liked it that information technology said to put 1/4 c. of sauce on bottum of pan, but honestly, i wouldn't use packaged sause or canned. I think homemade is the best. For this recipe I used Cherry-red Enchillada Sauce, submitted past Sara. My enchilladas smelled and so practiced my neighbor asked what I cooked that smelled and so good, and these were a lot of fun to make for me!
03/23/2003
This was quick, easy and simple. Just the way my family unit likes it. My youngest who has never wanted to try enchiladas earlier had seconds! Definately a keeper.
09/09/2002
I thought the dish was very piece of cake to brand. My unabridged family, including my ii pocket-sized children loved the recipe. I volition definately make it once again presently!
09/21/2006
Didn't like at all. I did utilise corn torilla instead of flour. I won't make information technology once more and still looking for a skilful enchiladas recipe.
05/17/2007
We really enjoyed this recipe. I did use a can of red enchilada sauce instead of the package.
02/09/2004
These were peachy! I loved the alter from corn tortillas. I did every bit several suggested and used taco seasoning on the meat and canned enchilada sauce (two cans). My husband said "These are better than eating house enchiladas!"
04/09/2009
My very picky husband'south commencement give-and-take after the first bite was "Wow!" He loved it! I followed the advice of others and added a package of taco seasoning while the meat and onions were cooking. I aslo used the enchilada sauce in a can and added an 8oz. can of tomatoe sauce. I used corn tortillas and flour; flour was the all-time! My husband topped his off with sour cream and picante sauce, he said that's what made it slap-up. This is a keeper for certain!
08/07/2006
Very, very good recipe! I took other reviewers' advice and added a can of Rotel and taco seasoning to the footing beef. I didn't take tomato sauce, so I added speghetti sauch to the enchilada sauce, and it was still good. Very spicey with the Rotel. I served this with a side of yellow rice-- very filling dinner!
05/31/2006
These were excellent. I did mix about 2 tbsp of FRESH cilantro into the sauce. It added a piddling more season.
10/27/2003
Added sour cream & Black olives inside enchiladas. Next time use canned enchilada sauce. (Onetime ElPaso)
07/27/2006
My husband who dislikes enchiladas loved these! Because I was using what I had on hand, I had to alter a few things. I ran out of onion and used dried minced instead. I didn't accept dry out sauce, and so I used a large can of dark-green enchilada sauce. My last alter was to use both chedder and jack cheeses. Delish! My married man dislikes the red sauce, and so I volition go on making it with light-green..simply equally is this is a keen quick recipe! Thanks Becky!
04/09/2011
Okay, my start attempt at enchilada's and this was a great recipe! I didn't have the packaged enchilada sauce, so I used "Carmine Enchilada Sauce Recipe" by Sal on this site, and it was perfect. Also, after reading some reviews, I decided to add together some taco beef seasoning (didn't have the prepackaged, so I found a recipe from this site). Also, I added some wolf-chili to the crimson sauce before pouring over the enchiladas to requite it the chili-cheese style. MMMMM... was a hit all around, thanks for the recipe!
02/22/2002
I dearest this recipe! I added refried beans to the dish.
12/17/2010
I love this recipe! I, like everyone else, made my ain tweeks. I cooked the hamburger with merely salt and pepper. Then I added a tin of light-green chili's, 1/2 loving cup of enchilada sauce, a couple dashes of cumin, cilantro, garlic powder, half of a packet of taco seasoning, some green onion, and about a cup of cheese. Then I wrapped it up in (flour) tortillas, poured on the enchilada sauce, and topped information technology off with cheese. I usually adopt corn tortillas but the flour worked not bad. This was super quick and piece of cake. I think next time I will add a second can of greenish chili's. YUM and thanks.
05/23/2007
I couldn't find a packet of enchilada sauce mix so I had to use canned. Simply it was actually very practiced and easier than making the sauce. I made this recipe for a family gather and it was very popular. Would brand over again.
11/20/2008
Husband loved it. I added whole canned green chilies and uses corn tortillas. I thought that information technology was good...just naught spectacular. (Considering everything added was "premade").
07/eighteen/2006
Sooo skilful! But I'll give it four stars since I made several changes. I used a full packet of taco seasoning for the meat (followed directions on packet), added rotel with green chiles to the cooked beef, and used lots of Mexican blend shredded cheese. I also used Lawry's enchilada sauce packet every bit suggested by someone else.
07/08/2011
Wonderful recipe! Easy to tweek and add flavor to your liking. We had some leftover grilled steak that was a niggling tough to eat as steak. We cutting the steak into small pieces and added information technology to the 1 lb. cooked footing beef. I did add garlic and adobe spices to the meat for more than season. I used canned enchilada sauce instead of the dry mix. I added about a one/four loving cup of enchilada sauce to the meat mixture before I wrapped the meat in the flour tortilla. I volition brand these again doing what I did the starting time time. Thx!
05/02/2011
I followed the recipe equally stated, except I took the communication of others and added a packet of taco seasoning to the beef later on it had been browned and drained. As well, added alittle extra cheese on top, and added some sliced fresh jalepeno peppers on acme, as well. DELICIOUS!! I idea this would gustation pretty adept, but it actually tasted better than I expected. So simple to brand, too. Volition be making this one on a regular basis. Endeavor information technology, you'll similar it!!
06/01/2012
These were really adept, and really easy! They aren't very authentic, but I love them! You can spice them up hands too, past adding chopped jalapenos and cilantro!
02/02/2003
Very Yummy - everyone like it.
12/14/2006
These were okay. I call up there are amend recipes out there for beef enchiladas! Sad!
05/14/2007
Followed a suggestion to flavor basis beef with taco seasoning as it cooked; actually helped boost the flavor. Too served with chopped cilantro, diced lycopersicon esculentum, and sour cream. Very tasty.
11/23/2010
Nosotros liked information technology. I put taco seasoning in the Beef. I used canned sauce, & of course I used corn tortillas. Fry the tortillas in oil on both sides only for a few seconds, then dip them in the enchilada sauce then put in the meat & cheese. :)
01/21/2011
Good simple recipe. I followed other reviews and added half a pkg of mild taco seasoning to the footing beef. I think it needs a little more flare though its a picayune plain. Next time I make it I will add some green peppers. Overall its a great starter recipe just a few tweaks its awesome! Thank you for the recipe Becky.
03/29/2009
This recipe definitely has potential and mine turned out really well after some tweaking. After nibbling on a bite of the browned ground beef (I added 2 cloves of minced garlic), I knew it was but way too bland for how we like our enchiladas. I added a good for you dose of diced green chilis and a bundle of taco seasoning. Much amend! I used canned enchilada sauce instead of the powder considering that's what I had on mitt. I also didn't realize until the last minute that I was out of blackness olives, so I merely spooned some diced green chilis on top. Thanks for the recipe :)
10/19/2001

I used corn tortillas as I'm gluten gratuitous and they brutal apart a chip but was nevertheless tasty. I used prepared enchilada sauce as well. Didn't have shredded cheese so I used sliced colby and it was great. Very tasty. Served with my black beans and rice.

Made this for friends to celebrate Cinco De Mayo! Huge hit and wonderful!!! A footling worried about the flour tortillas, merely still great! i did change a few things though - used ground turkey meat, added a can of rotel to the meat and onion, and used a big can of enchilada sauce!!! Nonetheless think it would be just as peachy following recipe as is. Served with Castilian rice and refried beans (i know not as well healthy) and it was a perfect dinner!!!

My married man & I love this recipe! I added a tin can of refried beans to the beef mixture, and instead of putting the sauce in the bottom of the baking dish I put information technology in with the beef & bean mixture. I also added a can of diced tomatoes on top. Great for a quick weeknight repast! Thanks!

I made a couple changes to the recipe that we liked a lot. After I strained the hamburger and onions I added about one-half a can of dark-green chile enchilada sauce to it and mixed it. Then put information technology into the tortilla shells. I thought it gave them more flavor. I too used canned enchilada sauce instead of the packaged.

Yummy! I but gave it 4 stars considering I had to add some things to information technology to give it some zing. First time I fabricated it, I followed directions exactly. Second time I made it, I added a few dashes of garlic powder, chili powder, and scarlet pepper flakes. Only a very small corporeality of the hot stuff equally I have little kids who wouldn't like it as well hot. Also, the second fourth dimension I made it, I used a combo of cheddar and monteray jack cheese to both the insides and the peak. With my additions it was delish! Make sure in that location's enough sauce, though, information technology needs quite a bit to make the insides saturated enough-I used 3 cans of enchilada sauce and that was perfect.

Loved this. Was really craving enchiladas and these were so rich I could barely finish 2! I love them. This recipe does clearly state 'quick and piece of cake' not 'authentic Mexican'! And so I judge if you're 'offended' past enchiladas being made with flour tortillas then this recipe is obviously not for you.
